11 biogas plants in Lithuania
Total power: 10.8 MW
Amount of generated energy: 86 000 MWh per year
Amount of annual CO2 savings: 120 000 t
In 2019, we opened a new state-of-the-art biodegradable materials processing line in one of our biogas plants, built near Vievis, Lithuania. It is one of the most advanced biogas power plants in the Baltic states. The plant fully meets the principles of circular economy – both economic and industrial waste are converted into materials used to generate biogas, which can then be used to generate energy and produce fertilizers for the agriculture sector.
Biogas expansion to Poland market
Poland is already a well-known market for us as we have accumulated extensive experience in the solar energy projects here. Polish biogas sector is very attractive as the growth potential is high. The plan for 2020 is to start implementing the first biogas project with a total capacity of 1 MW and lay a foundation for further successful expansion in the country.
